I-TECH supported Human Resource and Primary Healthcare Directorate-led training and capacity development initiatives through training and mentoring activities based on gaps identified from assessment of health care worker competencies, with emphasis placed on the Professional Nurse.
I-TECH collaborated with the National Department of Health (NDoH) to develop a standardized primary health care clinical mentoring process across implementing partners and develop training materials to address skill and knowledge gaps identified through a Primary Health Care Situational Analysis. I-TECH also supported the NDoH in the development of a system to maintain accurate records on professional nurses and strengthen primary health care capacity to monitor national primary health care program initiatives.
