The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a center in the University of Washington’s Department of Global Health within the School of Public Health. I-TECH has offices in Africa, the Caribbean, India, Haiti, and Ukraine, and projects in more than twenty countries. I-TECH’s approximately 2,000 worldwide staff work with local ministries of health, universities, non-governmental organizations, medical facilities, and other local partners to support the development of a skilled health work force and well-organized national health delivery systems.
Most of I-TECH’s projects are organized to follow our Partnership Model, which describes a project cycle in which sustainability and transition to local ownership are key project outcomes.
