- Monitoring & Evaluation/Quality Improvement Advisor
- The Quality Improvement (QI) Advisor will be based at I-TECH headquarters in Seattle, and will work to improve the quality of I-TECH programs in the Tanzania field office. Under the supervision of the Tanzania Team Lead and guidance from the Implementation Science Community of Practice, the QI Advisor works with the in-country QI team and program managers, as well as the headquarters team, to assure M&E integration in all areas of technical assistance, offer technical assistance to further develop QI systems for training and service delivery across all activity areas, and collect appropriate information on PEPFAR funded activities.
- Technical Officer: Training Development - Seattle Headquarters
- Global Health Technical Officers specialize in either program management or training development. This is a Technical Officer: Training Development position. It plays a central role on an assigned HQ Country Team in developing and implementing strategies to build the capacity of local stakeholders to independently manage global health programs aimed at strengthening the skills of health care professionals in low-resource settings and the sustainability of the broader health care system. All Technical Officers provide regular project management, M&E, and knowledge-sharing services for their assigned teams. In addition, The Technical Officer: Training Development works with I-TECH Country Office staff and staff of partner organizations, including national ministries of health, to champion and guide special initiatives for the development and delivery of high quality training interventions aimed at strengthening the nation’s healthcare workforce and broader healthcare system. - Monitoring, Evaluation and Operations Research Technical Advisor - Malawi
- The primary purpose of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Operations Research Technical Advisor is to strengthen the capacity of the Lighthouse Trust clinic to conduct clinic based operations research that builds on routine and non routine data collection. The ability of the Lighthouse Trust clinic to lead such research will support clinical programs and the progression of pilot studies into evidence based practice for more than 22,000 patients in active care. The Technical Assistant will work to systematically build the skills of Lighthouse staff to identify, design, implement and report on clinical and program oriented operations research that addresses gaps in the provision of quality care for pre-ART and ART patients in the public sector in Malawi. The Lighthouse Trust is a HIV and AIDS clinic based in Lilongwe, Malawi, at Kamuzu Central Hospital with operations at Bwaila District hospital and several health centres in Lilongwe district. This position will work closely too with counterparts in the Ministry of Health HIV and AIDS Department to translate best practices from the Lighthouse Trust to HIV treatment clinics nationally. This is a full time position to run for two years with the possibility to extend based on re-evaluation of program priorities. - Programme Manager - Health Systems Strengthening - South Africa
- The Programme Manager (PM-HSS) is to apply technical expertise to direct the health systems strengthening unit. This position helps to manage a comprehensive health portfolio that includes interventions to strengthen management and leadership at sub-district, district and provincial levels; efforts to address health care worker challenges in the government sector which remains a threat to effective health programmes; provision of technical assistance and capacity building to help the provincial and district departments of health, develop sustainable programmes that are country-owned and country-driven. S/he will support strategic direction and technical guidance on issues related to strengthening of systems (leadership and governance, health manpower capacity development, health reform, health financing). The PM-HSS, working under the supervision of the D-HSS, will supervise and coordinate all I-TECH SA systemsstrengthening activities. - Program Coordinator - Health Systems Strengthening - South Africa
- Under the overall leadership of the Senior Program Manager and direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator works as part of a team supporting health systems strengthening activities throughout South Africa. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities of the HSS unit in 2-3 Provinces. This will include working closely with key Government stakeholders and partners at the district and Provincial levels to implement HSS activities. - Nurse Advisor Consultant, Haiti
- I-TECH is seeking a Consultant to provide technical assistance to this project, working closely with I-TECH Haiti staff (based in Port-au-Prince) on the following activities: • Participate in the analysis of findings from the needs assessment of nursing schools. Make recommendations for curricular and/or teaching improvements based on the findings, and suggestions for collection of additional data. • Collaborate with I-TECH Haiti staff to regularly update an existing workplan and timeline for the revision of the nursing scope of work (competencies), curriculum design and development, implementation (piloting) and evaluation of the pilot. • Participate (in person or via distance) in stakeholder meetings. • Provide necessary technical assistance to implement the workplan, including serving as content expert in the curriculum development, trainer/mentor of faculty, and identifying necessary resources to support the curriculum upgrade. • Provide input into monitoring and evaluation planning and activities.
