Deepa Rao

Deepa Rao, MA, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor at the University of Washington. Dr. Rao’s professional interests are in designing effective interventions to improve mental health and reduce stigma for vulnerable populations worldwide.  She has specialization in global mental health, stigma reduction, chronic disease, HIV/AIDS, social justice and human rights. She received her PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and her MA and BA from the University of Chicago.
