- HIV/AIDS Nurse Specialist Curriculum (HANS)
The aim of this training course is to provide advanced training on HIV, AIDS and antiretroviral therapy (ART) to nurses in Ethiopia so that they may serve as HIV/ART Nurse Specialists (H/ANS) throughout the country. The course is designed to take 4 weeks, comprising 8 days of classroom learning, 6 days of clinical mentoring, and 5 days of on-site training. The curriculum includes 21 units covering all aspects of adult and pediatric clinical care. Each unit has a facilitator guide, participant guide, and slide set. The curriculum also includes a comprehensive Clinical Reference Handbook. (2007)
