I-TECH is honored to have assisted the Namibian military to establish the Fountain of Hope, the military's first HIV care and treatment clinic. PEPFAR and US Department of Defense support via I-TECH Namibia has enabled the military to refurbish and equip the clinic and laboratory, establish an information management system, and train military staff.

The clinic and laboratory were officially launched on 30 March 2009 by the Honorable Charles Namoloh, Minister of Defence, and Her Excellency Dennise Mathieu, the US Ambassador to Namibia amidst much fanfare. In addition to speeches, a military support group sang the song "Together" and the drama group performed an engaging and entertaining skit aimed at reducing HIV-related stigma and generating demand for antiretroviral therapy services.
