I-TECH clinicians are attending the 5th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention, in Cape Town, South Africa, 19-22 July 2009.

Held every two years, the conference is the world’s largest open scientific conference on HIV/AIDS, attracting about 5,000 delegates from all over the world. It is a unique opportunity for the world’s leading scientists, clinicians, public health experts and community leaders to examine the latest developments in HIV-related research, and to explore how scientific advances can – in very practical ways – inform the global response to HIV/AIDS.

I-TECH authors have two posters at the conference:

  • Advanced HIV/AIDS Training for Nurses: Haiti´s Experience
  • Changing Patient Characteristics in the Course of ART scale-up: A Complete National Census of ART Patients in Malawi 2004-2007
