Director of Pre-Service Programs - Tanzania

The Director of Pre-Service Programs is a member of the International Training and Education Center for HIV (I-TECH) Tanzania senior management team. This position directly oversees the implementation of the Pre-service project(s) and the Human Resources for Health (HRH) scale up project and supervises the program managers of these programs. The pre-service project (PST) aims to increase the capacity of pre-service training institutions to prepare new graduates to provide effective, high-quality HIV and AIDS and TB/HIV care, treatment and support upon entering clinical practice. Activities include developing HIV related content, strengthening the capacity of tutors, and strengthening overall pre-service education programs through capacity building, training, material development, and monitoring and evaluation. The HRH project aims to support the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) to increase the number of qualified healthcare workers to staff dispensaries, health centers and care and treatment clinics.
