US Positions 

The International AIDS Education and Training Center (IAETC) Director – Seattle, WA

I-TECH is seeking a Director for the International AIDS Education and Training Center (IAETC). The IAETC Director operates under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Ann Downer, and oversees all activities and operations of the IAETC. The IAETC is the largest award of all of I-TECH’s many federal grant programs, and is funded by the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) with an annual budget of approximately $25 million. Key responsibilities of this position include grants management as well as operational, legal, and risk management oversight of all IAETC activities. Other responsibilities include collaborating with I-TECH senior management, Principal Investigators and Co-PIs, the Director of M&E, and other technical experts to ensure that best practices are employed throughout the program.

Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor – Seattle, WA

I-TECH is currently recruiting for a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, based in Seattle, who will provide strategic technical assistance to the Mozambique Country Program. This position promotes high-quality M&E systems, operations research and impact evaluation, including data collection, tool development and analysis. An experienced professional, the Advisor position mentors others in study design and evaluation methodology and provides advice at the organizational and country levels. The Advisor works in close collaboration with the in-country M&E Director, the M&E team, and program managers.

Technical Advisor – Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research - Kenya

I-TECH Kenya has an outstanding opportunity for a Technical Advisor – Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research. The Technical Advisor will be responsible for generating and translating evidence into effective practice for health systems strengthening. This role will oversee monitoring, evaluation and research (ME&R) across I-TECH’s projects for strengthening health information systems and for promoting the global health security agenda. The Technical Advisor will also provide advanced technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and its implementing partners on evaluation strategy to improve effectiveness of projects and programs, under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The Technical Advisor will assist the project in the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning strategies to ensure that the project is meeting its objectives and delivering intended outcomes.

DREAMS Project Manager - Namibia

The DREAMS project is a one-year pilot project in Namibia aimed at supporting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to stay HIV-negative through educational campaigns and the delivery of PrEP. I-TECH works in collaboration with the Ministry of Health,and Social Services (MoHSS). The DREAMS Project Manager will work closely with HQ- and country office-based operations and finance teams to ensure project compliance with award terms, deliverables, and reporting. This will include financial administration aligning with I-TECH’s financial budgeting tools; developing, tracking and monitoring contractual agreements, budget management and participating in the development of funding and financial reporting aligned with I-TECH systems.

Deputy Director for Strategic Information (SI) - Namibia

I-TECH is seeking a Deputy Director for Strategic Information (SI) who will be responsible for the implementation of I-TECH Namibia’s Care and Treatment (C&T) program, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), data quality improvement (DQI) and data use activities, and reporting. This position is based in Windhoek and reports to the Director of Strategic Information. The Deputy Director will supervise a field-based team of M&E Officers, and work closely with SI Advisors at I-TECH Headquarters in Seattle.

Temp Finance Assistant – South Africa

I-TECH South Africa is seeking a temporary Finance Assistant who will be responsible for Data capturing, Petty Cash, Inventory update, and attending to clerical needs related to the management and filing of financial documentation. This is a contract position.  The Finance Assistant will report to the Assistant Finance Manager, and assist with the coordination by working with relevant Operations Department staff to ensure contracts are fulfilled before preparing partial, monthly, or full payment.

Clinical Trainer (4 Positions) – South Africa

I-TECH South Africa is seeking four Clinical Trainers. Under the direct supervision of the TB/HIV Manager, the Clinical Trainer will conduct Adult Primary Care (APC) Master Training and APC Updates in priority districts; conduct priority trainings, including IMCI; facilitate short-course training related to TB/HIV and non-communicable diseases, as needed; identify clinician knowledge and skill gaps; implement learning and development activities; and develop clinical training materials.

I-TECH South Africa seeks a Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant to provide support to the Monitoring & Evaluation Team in monitoring performance of the Integrated Care and People Development work plan activities implemented by I-TECH across South Africa's nine provinces. Duties of the position include: support in data collection and entry; assuring data reliability and quality assurance checks; assistance with compiling reports for programme management and routine reporting, providing technical assistance in improving data quality and management processes. The position holder will be required to perform other administrative duties needed for program compliance.

Laboratory EQA/PT Specialist – Cote d'Ivoire 

I-TECH has an outstanding opportunity for a Laboratory EQA/PT Specialist to provide direct technical assistance to strengthen the coordination of the national external quality assurance/proficiency testing program (EQA/PT) in all aspects of medical laboratory diagnostics. He/she will work with the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL), district health teams, and PEPFAR implementing partners to: 1. Strengthen national laboratory policies and increase adherence to national guidelines; 2. Develop local capacity in biosafety and biosecurity (B&B); 3. Develop skills in laboratory management and strengthen laboratory professions competencies; 4. Implement QMS in the entire laboratory network;  5. Improve and implement LIS for improved data management and utilization; and 6. Support laboratory-related blood safety interventions and accreditation of 3 laboratories in National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS).

Finance Manager – Cote d'Ivoire

The Finance Manager for I-TECH Cote d’Ivoire works closely with the Country Director and Operations Manager, and is responsible for the management of financial processes and procedures, including budget coordination and monitoring, financial procedures and internal controls, accounts payable and purchasing integration, payroll systems, coordination with I-TECH HQ financial staff, cash flow management, computerized accounting systems and procedures, and audits. The Finance Manager reports to the Country Director, directly supervises the Accounting Assistant and Bookkeeper, and is a member of the Finance team.

HIS Advisor II – Cote d'Ivoire

The Health Information Systems (HIS) Advisor II for I-TECH Cote d'Ivoire will work closely with the staff of laboratories, Ministry of Health, and I-TECH staff based in Abidjan and Seattle. The advisor will be responsible for duties related to the development and implementation of Health Information Systems, primarily laboratory information systems. The advisor will provide necessary support (technical assistance) to the Health Informatics Advisor I, as needed. The HIS Advisor II will play a critical role in OpenELIS software development, ensuring smooth communication between laboratories, MOH, and colleagues from Seattle; and will coordinate meetings with local stakeholders; support the establishment, practice, and sustainability of OpenELIS and OE Basic operating standards in laboratories; and identify priority issues to be addressed.
