King K. Holmes, MD, PhD

In addition to I-TECH, Dr Holmes heads the Infectious Diseases Section at Harborview Medical Center and directs the UW Center for AIDS and STD, which includes two NIH Research Centers: the UW Center for AIDS Research, and the UW STD Research Center; and an NIH-funded training grant that provides pre- and post-doctoral research training on AIDS and STD for 18 pre-and post-doctoral fellows at the University of Washington.

Ann Downer, MS, EdD
University of Washington
Dr Downer brings 25 years of experience in educational and organizational leadership, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS and STI program development to her role as co-director of I-TECH. She is also the Executive Director of the University of Washington Center for Health Education and Research (CHER), a center which houses the Northwest AIDS Education and Training Center.
Dr Downer holds advanced degrees in health education and educational leadership, wrote her doctoral dissertation on health communication and brings this mix of experiences to her faculty appointment as senior lecturer in the UW School of Public Health and Community Medicine. She teaches, advises students, and develops courses in the UW School of Public Health International Health Program, the Social and Behavioral Science Program, the Population Leadership Program and the MPH Extended Degree Program. When she is not traveling, Dr Downer lives in Seattle, Washington.

E. Michael Reyes, MD, MPH
University of California,
San Francisco
Dr Reyes serves as co-director of I-TECH, leading the University of
California San Francisco team and collaborating with Dr Downer on overall
strategy and direction for the organization. Dr Reyes leads I-TECH's
interface with the newly funded HRSA Twinning Center at the American
International Health Alliance, a program designed to support inter-organization
exchanges in HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and support services.
Since 1989, Dr Reyes has held major leadership roles with Pacific
AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC). In his current position
as Principal Investigator/Project Director he has developed a variety
of innovative HIV clinical training programs for health care providers
in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawai'i and the 6 U.S.-affiliated Pacific
Jurisdictions. At Pacific AETC he also developed and directs subcontracts
with health professions schools and community-based organizations throughout
the region. Dr Reyes lives in the San Francisco, California.
